New Group Training Manager Appointed to Run BTTA

After advertising earlier this year and working with Nova Circle our HR consultant, we have successfully interviewed and appointed Russell Coleman to the post of Group Training Manager. Russell comes to us with over thirty years of experience in competency technical training, Assessment/Verification and various management roles.

Originally qualified as a Royal Navy Marine and Mechanical Engineer, Russell moved into industry after serving 9 years with the navy. Having worked for private industry for several years Russell decided to go into technical training wanting to educate and train future generations of engineers.

Russell has gained a wealth of experience over the years educating and training apprentices while working for other training provider both in Scotland and in England. He is well versed in working with EAL and Enginuity and other lead bodies and he will be great asset to the Border Engineering Training Association team.

Russell will be starting in post on October 3rd 2022 where he will take over from the existing Group Training Manager; David Miller. David will not be completely leaving BTTA but will be staying on as BTTA’s Internal Quality Auditor.
