The aim of this module is for candidates to:
- Identify and state the function of a variety of handtools.
- Identify the basic parts of various handtools
- Understand the safe working practices relating to specific handtools
- Identify, select and safely use marking-out tools and equipment

- Candidate/s should be employed by Company. Initial company induction training should have been completed.

- Operational Personnel employed by Company
- Any individual requiring hand tool knowledge
Course Content
The training focuses on:
- Understanding the safe working practices in relation to hand tools within the workplace
- Identify various hand tools and their uses
- Identify common defects found in hand tools
- Safely use various hand tools for typical engineering uses
Certification
- A Course attendance certificate will be issued on successful completion
