Cademuir Engineering — Tweedbank
Cademuir Engineering Ltd. is a well established manufacturer of plastic injection moulding tools, moulded plastic parts, machined components and finished assemblies based in the Scottish Borders.
Manufacturing facilities include :-
•A tool room with full CAD/CAM capabilities running our CNC machines whilst utilising the powerful Solid Works™ operating system. We not only make our own tools but very often repair tools for other moulders. The addition of a 3D printer means we can also make prototypes to ensure all the dimensions are correct before starting to cut metal.
•A moulding shop which includes a suite of plastic injection moulding machines with capacity up to 250 tonnes. Most of them have integrated driers for continuous operation and the newer machines have integrated robot facilities.
•An assembly/finishing room, manned by a team of operators who inspect and hand finish the final product. This operation aslo includes product marking, packaging and drop shipping around the world, saving our customers time and money.
•A drying, granulating and mixing room for preparing the plastic to the correct specification ready for use on the shop floor. This is also an important recycling operation where we can reuse some of the sprues which would otherwise be land fill.
