Module Outline
The aim of this module is for candidates to:
- produce basic engineering drawings of different components using a variety of sketching and drawing
- give an understanding of the importance of communication with the correct information
- understand the possible consequences of misinterpretation

Pre-requisites
- Candidate/s should be employed by Company. Initial company induction training should have been completed.

- Any individual requiring knowledge of Engineering Drawing
Course Content
The training focuses on:
- Explain and demonstrate the use of sketching, the equipment used, paper (plain, squared, isometric) and different sketching techniques.
- Explaining the benefits and limitations of drawings and the possible consequences of errors in interpretation
- Describe the standard methods of dimensioning and the need for it to be standardised.
- Explain the need for sectioning to show hidden details.
- Explain why assembly drawings are important.
- Explain the differences between Isometric and Orthographic Projection.
- Practical exercises for students to sketch for themselves.
Certification
- A Course attendance certificate will be issued on successful completion
